Fairground Weekend - 24th & 25th July 2010

All of Hollycombe's resident fairground rides plus a classic visiting ride - a 1948 Fly-O-Plane ride, built by the Eyerly Aircraft Company to train pilots. Brough to the UK for the 1951 Festival of Britain in Battersea, it is believed to be one of only two surviving examples and is the only one still travelling.   Also present on this weekend will be John Morley's traditional Old Time Vintage Arcade which includes an array of vintage slot machines spanning 100 years and includes slot machines, fruit and novelty machines Fortune Teller and What The Butler Saw (note there will be a small additional charge for the arcade).
Also visiting is a lovely 1950's Winnards Train ride which is suitable for children and adults, and Albert Reynold's Juvenile Dobby set roundabout.  Photos are from Hollycombe on Saturday 24th June.
