Showman's Road Engine - Emperor

Emperor was built in 1895 by Charles Burrell of Thetford and delivered to George Twigdon and Sons. It is the world's oldest surviving showman's engine and the only single crank compound. Emperor was acquired by Hollycombe in 1980 and restored to full showman's condition. Emperor regularly generates electricity for the fairground, assisted by Leiston Town.
